Hosted a mini get-together on Labor Day to watch the Florida State vs. Miami match-up on ESPN, thinking everyone would think that this game (#11 vs. #12) would be a big deal. Ordered two XL pizza's from Capones, bought plenty of drinks, invited a handful of my closest friends and no one showed.
Just kidding. Thanks to Sam Rodriguez and his wife Stephanie and 3 yr old daughter Sonia for coming by, as well as my brother-in-law Tab & Virginia Little and Madelyn's cousin, Elyssa. Also, thanks to Tito and Irma Quinones, my soccer buddy and the latter being my Pilates instructor.
Anyway, a disappointing and sloppy game. UM's game has really taken a tumble in the past couple of years... but I won't lose hope.
