A Busy Weekend
At the awards ceremony with some TV personalities, as I won in 15:01 over a solid field, to take home two round-trip American Airline tickets as well as a $2500 Tourneau watch....
Left: A pretty tired me in the homestretch of the United Space Alliance 10-Miler in which I placed 4th Overall in 54:04, the day after my 15:01 victory at the Race for the Cure 5K. I had a nice, tired first 5 miles, then crashed for a couple of miles, but then rallied for a sub-16:00 final three miles to finish respectably. The race-day conditions were absolutely horendous with 80-degree temperature and humidity.
Right: Talking Marathons with former Olympic Trialist, Dr. William Moore of Dallas, who capturd the Masters title in 55:53. Dr. Moore served as my rabbit during my stint in Dallas while participating in the USOC-funded "Live High, Train Low" altitude project.
Perla and Madelyn had to drive me home after a busy weekend... till next time, Press On!!!

Keep it up, Coach! Unless of course, you're like Bill Bowerman, and don't want to be called Coach.
In that case, I'll just call you Bill.
Keep up the good work. Pleasure to hear about your run.
